Most Mets fans (and baseball fans in general) remember the 2008 season all to well. For the 2nd straight year, the Mets missed the playoffs by 1 game. One of those losses came against San Diego that served as the final game in a 4 game sweep. Mets catcher Ramon Castro was benched that game. Not due to an injury, but because he overslept. Apparently Castro thought a 4:05 PM start time was Eastern Time, even though they have been in San Diego all week. He was benched for the game.
